About Sarah

I am an extremely multifaceted Plain Jane type of girl with a lot of life experiences under my belt.

I’ve lived most of my life outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and recently spent almost a decade in the Mid-Columbia Gorge in Oregon. Currently in Central Texas, I’m married to my perfect match and have two step-children. We have two shelter dogs, a horse, and two cats.

After changing my career several times over the last 20 years, I found my true passion in Emergency Services about 9 years ago. I’m a career EMT, retired firefighter, and Search & Rescue enthusiast.

I’m a doer and love to learn. If I can fix it myself, I will. If I can make it myself, I will. I’m not very patient when it comes to relying on someone else to do something I can learn/do myself. I’m also a bit of a perfectionist. Despite being a doer and a perfectionist, I do recognize when I need help and I’m not afraid to ask for it.

My hope for the near future is to move back to Oregon, own several acres of land, help build my dream house, operate a small hobby farm, return to Wilderness Search & Rescue, and live happily ever after with my husband.
